- Do a handstand against a wall. An easy way is to stand with your back about a foot or so from a wall, crouch down and put one foot, then the other, high on the wall.
- With feet still against the wall, begin to lean your weight until you are holding yourself up on only one arm.
- Hold as long as you can. Breathe normally. Leave shoulders relaxed, not tight. Switch to the other arm.
Fitness Fixer reader Robert Davis set his cell phone on timer and snapped this for us:

He writes why this is a photo, not video:
"Sorry my video requires a lot of phone power so I had enough to snap a shot before I have to charge it.
Angle is kinda odd as it is on a "tv" with my wallet ingeniously holding it in a position so it can see me instead of the floor lol. I need to go and buy a camera.."
If you like lifting weight overhead for upper body strength, you don't need to wait to go to a gym, or to get weights or equipment.

Good morning Dr. Jodie,
I truly enjoy the natural exercises and postures you presented here and in your books. I wish I know about this years back. Anyway, as we say ignorance has no beginning but an end.
It is so bad that with the modern life, we are forcing ourselves too far away from nature and that we do not use our brain as much as we should. You are very different. Your methods and your own rehab stories against all Western expectations.
Please always keep your good work as knowledge has a beginning but no end!
Sincerely,
VP

Dear VP, that is so well stated, may we use that phrase for the Academy? Thank you for taking the time to write, and for wise observations. Come back soon.
Anton, I sent your helpful info to Healthline. Thank you for it. You have added helpful comments to several articles. I am working on several posts of your good questions.

Dear Dr. Jodie,
I have posted a comment but it was lost, so here I post again.
1. Please use the phrase for the Academy. Your new website looks great. Congratulations on your new cool website!
2. I have followed the Fitness Fixer for a couple of weeks now. I have corrected exercises and postures for myself, my family, friends, and colleagues. Thank you for helping us with healthier living.
3. Similar to Robert, I found a new line of exercises with my body weight.
Thank you,
VP
